Authored content is a content type that may contain images, media, input fields, single answer questions, and multiple answer questions. Each one of these form items is a block that is part of the overall build authored content build.
The main block types are
- Media
- Text
- Question
- Input
Media and text block types display information passively while question and input requires an action.
Input and question blocks may be optional or required based on the content's configuration. You will see an asterisk (*) next to the question title for those that require an answer before you can mark the content as done.

Points
Question and input blocks may have point values associated with them. Total possible points are shown in a card near the top of the page.
Your score is calculated when you fill out all required fields and then mark the authored content as done.
When you mark the content as done you also may see feedback provided below each block. The appearance of feedback depends on how the authored content is configured by admins.
If the authored content requires a passing score you'll be required to meet a specified point threshold to successfully complete the authored content. If you fail to meet the requirement, you'll have the option of starting the content over. There is no limit to the number of attempts.
If a passing score is not required but the content has a passing threshold you will receive a passing or failing status after you complete the content. This status is not associated with the complete or incomplete state of the content but instead is a separate measurement tied with your enrollment in the content.
